And again, the Ds will blow a huge opportunity to stomp on the GOP with their crappy messaging. They’ll come up with some elaborate strongly worded statement instead of the simple, “Republicans want men to look at your naked schoolgirl. Your daughter shouldn’t have to pass a naked test to play sports.”

 

Depends on if Trump decides to run / is unindicted and able to run or not. There will be three clown cars worth of potential candidates if he does not.

 

For decades, the Olympics did sex testing on female athletes*. First, it was a "nude parade," followed later by chromosomal testing. Of course, the irony of a "visual examination" is that there are several examples of intersex persons who presented as female but had internal testes or something of that nature and went entirely undetected for their entire careers if not their natural lives. I'm kind of curious who would be paying for something more complicated. And even if they passed the chromosome test, that won't be good enough for most people anyway, as Caster Semenya and Dutee Chand have proven.

All of this trans panic is based on this fundamental belief that trans or even intersex people are engaging in this great deception, and they're banging on the athletics thing because it's one of a very few arenas where even the paranoid can find the argument plausible.

*Princess Anne was exempt.

Olympic Gender Drama -The Press Sisters

 

We’ve seen what some sports medicine professionals have done during those “routine” checks. And those are the ones we know about. It sounds like those “routine” checks could lead to harm for some of these young women — if my daughter were harmed during one of these useless examinations, I’d be suing the state legislature and the governor for lots of $$$$. Probably wouldn’t be successful, but it would make a point.

 

It’s the last version of “TEH GAYS ARE COMING FOR YOUR CHILDREN!” that they can get away with, and it’s the only way they can even do that.

 

Nobody at Michigan State or USA Gymnastics has any idea what you’re talking about.
