    This is an important distinction, and an important thread. Yeah, we're back around to Trump/Russia, but that was always important. It is my devout hope that Merrick Garland chooses to release the unredacted Mueller Report and let the chips fall and the indictments fly.

    This circles back to the recent sex scandal surrounding Alabama's Secretary of State, but in the context of new web sites started by political operatives expressly to attack others, whether of the opposite party or their own insufficiently orthodox party members. In the case of John Merrill, he was not Trumpy enough. The scandal made it easy to take him out, but he was already targeted. This will lead to a need for the more mainstream press to play umpire on the truth and the strength of such claims in the future.
