I suppose is SCOTUS decides that, then such a law would be constitutional. Until then, it's not.

Worse yet, the guy could have freed the slaves, fed the world and cured the diseased. All
He did was resurrect his friend, cured 1 leper and catered 1 event.

At least it wasn't one of those tracts printed to look like five, ten, and twenty-dollar bills on one end and turn out to be witness flyers once they're pulled from under a plate or out of a library book. I've seen people "tip" waitstaff with those. One person told me they got the idea from watching the Duggars. Must be nice to go through life with no sense of responsibility for the rest of humanity.

I had a great uncle who ran for the office of Town Tax Assessor, 60-70 years ago. His campaign literature was a color copied folded $20 bill. Unfold it and there was his picture and campaign stuff. It was legendary in the family. We still have them. Apparently in the 30’s he made Porn films, too. Every family should have a character.

To steal a turn of phrase from Barry Trotz, I'd be happy if my family had fewer characters and more character.

Hitch's opening 15 minutes is what it's all about.

An interesting thread about the weaknesses of secular morality, and its ultimate pick and choose reliance on religion.

His hooey circles 'round the unclean drain of the toilet in the 7th tweet:

But the Bible says God created the world with a structure to it. We were designed to love-7/8

    Bible says lol

    God created lol

We were designed lol ... to love.

It's mental illness and, what's worse, a freely chosen mental illness.

    Of course "K."

But I still love you as a person, and poster.

    I meant OK.

All love here, too. Keller is a Christian, right, and so he's going to come at it from that worldview. But his first six posts in that thread are, IMO, spot on.

No. What he's saying in those first 6 is, We must play make-believe.
