We get rid of all Republicans - vote them all out, and I voted against most in the most recent election - and...utopia? A magical balm over human nature?

 

Enough of them have to start being voted out so that they finally get the message not to stand in the way of things that have broad support from 60 percent-plus of Americans. That’s the only way political parties adapt.

 

There’s not much difference in regimes communist v fascist. A couple Of percent get everything, a bunch of people get killed and everyone else is miserable. The only difference is the slogan.
But in America, getting rid of the Republican Krypto-Krisitan Konservatives will lead to misery being spread around more equitably.

 

I think a magical balm would be getting at least somewhere closer to arguments about the tax delta rather than a potato couple.

Make no mistake, the GOP needs these asinine debates to persist. Their sustinence depends on the prosecution of the culture wars.

So of course, the shit-for-brains Washington press corps gives them just what they want and need to survive. Like feeding Gollum every night.

 

And even then, they’ll blame the media, or cry that it’s voter fraud, or cite some bullshit conspiracy theories instead of looking in the mirror and asking themselves why they keep getting their ass kicked, at least in presidential elections (7 of last 8 in popular vote).
