They should have made him take his mask off for it.

Despicable people remain eligible for the protections of society, particularly at the moment the state assumes responsibility for their care. Vigilante shortcuts are what started this whole damn mess.

Sorry, that’s a bullshit response. And it’s not true.

I don't need to wonder. It is obvious why they do it.

Never happen. Speculation is 12-13 years, assuming no further charges due to incidents inside prison.

That said, there's no way in hell he can be put in the general population. He'd be shanked within days. He'll have to be put into what is essentially solitary confinement. Sympathetic white guards may be able to do some things to make it easier on him. OTOH, there are also Black guards...

If someone from genpop gets a crack at him, he's meat.

I was more asking about "incident" in prison.

Depends on what happens. Even if he's attacked, if he does physical damage to another inmate he probably catches a charge. If he were to kill another inmate, even in self defense, that would probably involve a contraband weapon. Hard to see him not getting some more time out of a situation like that even if he didn't start it. He might get lucky on his judge, he might get unlucky.

LOL. Duhhh. He can live through it if he's lucky or willing to endure being voluntarily locked in protective custody, essentially very close to solitary. One mistake allowing access to another inmate could get him killed. If that "mistake" is deliberate he's dead. There are a lot of guys inside who would kill him and take the time.

I get that, certainly. My thought was just, "This is your sentence/consequence; you need to stand up and take it," like in a normal-times court room. No hiding, which can, and does, occur behind these masks. (You don't want to smile at a customer, they'll never really know; you want to mumble a curse word at someone, they probably won't hear you, etc.)...
