If you thought it was some kind of dog whistle then you're trying too hard, and you are woefully misguided.

Did the city burn? No, it didn't. I was wrong in saying it would.

But enough of your breathy care'ism. You don't care the way you are portraying yourself to care.

From someone who has read way too many prison memoirs. ... He will be in protective custody, eating his meals and hitting the yard with the child molestors and snitches. But if they did put him in general population, I was wondering if the white aryans would make sure nobody touches him. Interesting dynamic. ... that nobody in their right mind would want to be in the middle of.

Oh, one other thought I had from something I once read (can't remember which book). Former cops don't always have a tough time in prison, but usually they are not in for killing someone while they were on the job. I am remembering one thing I read, in which the former inmate was talking about a cop who was in general, and he commented that he had a "cop personality," acting superior to the other inmates. I don't think there is a snowball's chance in hell Chauvin will ever see general population, but if he brought that kind of personality with him (which you'd think would go hand in hand with the kind of asshole who would kneel on the neck of someone until they die), I can't imagine it would go over very well.

They'd probably offer him some protection due to who he is... but even then, he's still a cop in prison, so that's not a sure bet.

The fact remains that he'll have a target on his back as long as he's in, and there are a lot of guys who would hurt him badly in a heartbeat given an opportunity.

Will the COs look favorably on him because some of them like to rough up guys and they get how things can get out of hand?

Or will the guards look the other way when he's beaten to a pulp, so the aggravation is out of the way?

Why did you think it was going to burn down either way?

I was pretty sure that it would get bad in a hurry if he got off, but I figured that there would be general relief and satisfaction if he was convicted. When all three charges stuck, that relieved a lot of pressure and anger/anxiety. Either way makes no sense to me.

I figure Clancy Brown awakes sometimes at night, half delirious, bellowin', "What is your malfunction, you fat barrel of monkey spunk ..."
