I’m pretty sure that the potential dangers of Chauvin’s incarceration will be debated during his sentencing hearings.

I feel that there’s some need to keep my wish for extrajudicial punishment for Chauvin in check. While there would be some hints of karma if he were to suffer some harm, the fact still remains that society has just condemned taking the law into your own hands with these convictions. For a fellow prisoner to do the same would be just as wrong. I have to keep that in mind when I hope especially nasty things for Chauvin.

There’s also the concern that Chauvin might become a martyr for some misguided cause. Perhaps it might come to be known as Chauvinism.

Epstein lasted 17 days in prison, July 6 to 23, 2019.

Can I just say that people "scoring" various public responses like it's a diving match or American Idol, critiquing word choices of people who actually support the Chauvin verdict is why the left always ends up alienating more people than they really should. This should be a uniting moment for most of our country, yet the Twitterverse seems intent on "shaming" people for using the wrong vocabulary, and building walls where there should be bridges.

I'm trying to make it a point not to go to jail, but even if I'm just there on visiting day, I hope to be put in isolation.
I'm too average size and good looking. I'm not interested in joining a gang.
I don't want to be beaten up or some bad man's girlfriend, and not necessarily in that order.

I miss Oz. Take the best of Law and Order, Homicide Life on the Street and The Wire and all of those actors and have at it....

Such a great and overlooked show. Set the path for The Sopranos, The Wire, Breaking Bad, and all prestige shows that followed. And look at all the actors who went on to fine careers -- Harold Perrineau, Edie Falco, JK Simmons, Christopher Meloni to name a few. Show was wonderful it's first few years, went off the rails toward the end and finished with a thud. But at its peak, was as good as it gets.

The underrated part of this scene is the guy in the background who not only yells, "I had your mother; she wasn't so great!" and "Me neither, they run this place like a fucking prison."

There ought to be an award for Best Hidden Moment Actor/Actress.

Just amazing that the FNC/Trump political coalition have settled on “The verdict is bullshit because the jury was afraid of causing rioting”. We truly are broken as a society.

Every time a cop kills even the guiltiest of suspects, an individual has been deprived of their Constitutional right to due process. Why that doesn't give the "strict constructionist!" FNC crowd pause, I'm not sure.

    Oh wait. I remember.

    They're dummies.

    That's right.
