Apparently that is no longer a thing. “Retired” in July 2018.

    Nielsen Survey Dates

Nielsen retired the diary methodology in July 2018, and all Nielsen local markets are now measured year round. As a result, there are no longer only special “Sweeps” months. Instead, there are now twelve survey periods and all months are measured the same way.

Given that there are digital monitors on virtually all TVs anymore, why bother with sweeps?

Excellent use of time and public resources.

    USA TODAY

While the Senate commissioned the audit, it gave a private company the responsibility of seeing it through, limiting the public information available about who is involved, who is paying for it and how it will happen.

The move is the biggest step so far in Republican legislators’ efforts to conduct their own audit of the county’s election results after Trump’s defeat last year, despite multiple county audits showing that votes were counted correctly.

And several nonpartisan election consultants from across the country say the plan is inherently biased and lacking transparency.

They worry that the results will be inaccurate and will further erode the public’s confidence in the U.S. election system — even though they say this past general election was one of the most secure and transparent elections in the country’s history.

What authority did Maricopa County have to turn those ballots over? A demand from one branch of the legislature is not a duly passed law.

Just for shits and giggles, let's say DC was populated by a half-million Deplorables.

Anybody on the left want to make it a state?
Anybody on the right going to oppose making it a state?

The State Senate had the authority to demand them. They went to court and threatened to arrest the (predominantly Republican) county supervisors unless they turned over all of the ballots and equipment so they could hand them over to "Stop the Steal" activists for an "audit."

If it was, it would've been a state for at least the last 50 years.

It would have been a state years if not decades ago because the residents— Trumpists in your scenario — would’ve been white.
