3 total hits in Dodgers Mariners game, Dodgers win 1-0. Urias 7 innings of 1-hit 11-K ball.

Crazy stat: There were at least 24 0-2 counts. That's hard to do.

9 years ago today I was eating at Pat's Diner in South Trenton and watched Phil Humber pitch his perfect game.

It was the first of 3 perfect games in 116 days with Matt Cain (6/13/12) and King Felix (8/15/12) to follow.

It was the one and only time Humber finished a game that he started, which is pretty amazing.

And it was a few blocks from there ol' Dante first smacked his 19-year old pregnant girlfriend.

    Hazel Mae sucks.

Good God, everyone talks about the A's being a feeder system for the Yankees, but the White Sox had the core of a dynasty and pissed it away in the span of two years.

25-year-old Norm Cash traded to the Indians, then the Tigers.
25-year-old Johnny Callison traded to the Phillies.
25-year-old Luis Aparicio traded to the Orioles.
24-year-old Earl Battey and 21-year-old Don Mincher to the Senators.

Later, Jim Landis would be involved in the trade that sent Tommie Agee and Tommy John to the White Sox.

one of Maddux's first starts. Look how noisy the delivery was before his becoming.

Imagine having a $200 million payroll and Mike Ford hitting clean-up.

Also, the home plate umpire in this Yankees-Indians game is awful. He’s missing strikes and calling stuff four inches off a strike.
