As I was listening to the radio on the way to work yesterday, it was noted the Golden Knights won't play their 1,768th game until the 2039-40 season.

Marleau reaching the milestone has triggered lots of discussion on his HOF chances.

In baseball he would be called a compiler, but that's never an issue in hockey. He's played for Team Canada multiple times, and the selectors love that. I think he gets in first or second ballot.

There’s nothing about Marleau that screams Hall of Famer to me, but I agree he’ll get in. I don’t think first ballot but he’ll get in.

Kevin Lowe is in, so I won’t be surprised by much any more.

Just haven't had the opportunity to watch much NHL this season.

Question regarding Philadelphia ... any thoughts on what has happened to Carter Hart? It's based on a post or two I recall reading here.

He will be fine. He will rebound from this. Just a rough patch. Many great goalies have them.

Thanks. When I'd watched Hart before on television, thought he was pretty good. I remember there being a lot of build-up about him and, clearly, there's a lot of pressure attached with that, in that market. Greatness? I suppose time will tell.

Got to remember he's only 22 and learning the position in the NHL. And the Flyers back-end is not all that great, either.

Your last sentence did ring a bell for me. Again, haven't followed the league like I used to. Seems like every time Philly takes a big step forward, it takes another big step backward.

Shayne Gostisbehere is a perfect example.

Jakub Vrana with four goals for the Red Wings in a win over Dallas
    Richard Panik also scored
Everyone seems to be doing well in the big deal
BTW, the last Wing to score four in a game was Anthony Mantha, against Dallas

    Another Dallas conspiracy theory!
