We had a significant chunk of our newsroom that got their Pfizer II on Tuesday because it was three weeks since the date Minnesota opened it to the general public. Had a few folks clock out early today or have to trouper it to the finish (we had some job interviews today so not everyone could bail out). I was one of the Pfizer II bunch due to a scheduling quirk. About 90%. Arm's a bit achy but most of the side effects the last 36 hours could just as well be poor posture, dehydration or allergy issues.

    I've heard the vaccine will:

-- give you the virus so "they" can continue overtaking the world
-- that it makes you sterile
-- that it has tracking devices (no shit, had two people say this and actually try to convince me)
-- that Bill Gates is part of the global conspiracy to implant the tracking-tracing stuff
-- the vaccine is "the mark of the Beast"
-- "they" have had this all planned for years and that's why the vaccines were available so quickly
-- this "flu" has been around for a couple of years and "they" just unleashed it before the election
-- it was developed here by "our" people and taken to Woooohann to be released so we could blame them.

There's a lot of fucking tinfoil being used for hats around the world, most of it in the U.S.

Moderna No. 2 hit me harder. I was fine all day after shot but am very fatigued today and may have been running a low fever earlier, but it was gone by the time I got home and could have taken temperature. Arm I think is a little sorer this time around, too.

My immune system is a three car pileup. I am prepared to hopefully sleep an entire weekend away.
    • Started a Z-pack of prednisone Tuesday for an arthritis flare up.
    • Bloodwork yesterday for the second time in three weeks to confirm suspected anemia.
    • Pfizer No. 2 today.

Every single one of those thoughts begin with "I've heard" or "May" which is total BS.

"Hey how did they make the processed food in your kitchen?" "What's in the beer in your beer cans?"

"What's in the jar of mayo in your fridge?"

"What's in the burger and fries you just bought for dinner?"

What makes you think those are okay? Why trust those but not the CDC's approved vaccines?

Today was 48 hours after the second Moderna shot and I felt great while driving 5 hours.

    At 5 o'clock I did 45 minutes of cardio.

Got Moderna II today. Popped a couple Aleve about two hours later. Drinking water with the occasional shots of Gatorade and so far so good.

Moderna 2 on Wednesday at midday. Fatigued 90 minutes later, so I grabbed a 60-minute nap. Was fine until about 8 hours after the jab. The 16 hours that followed were terrible -- fever, chills, a headache that felt like someone was squeezing the back of my head. Drank water, Gatorade and took ibuprofen and Tylenol in alternating doses. Managed to sleep 7 hours intermittently between 11 p.m. and 11 a.m. the next day. By 3 p.m. Thursday -- 28 hours post-jab-- I was fine and took a 4-mile hike with the dogs early in the evening. Today, I was back to my usual 45 minutes of cardio and 20 minutes with weights. Sixteen lousy hours is a small price to pay.

I had off-and-on fevers through the night after posting this. Woke up at 3 a.m. completely drenched.

Woke up for good at 8:30 and feel completely normal. Arm barely even hurts now.

That time period lasted from roughly 17 hours. As Shelbyville said, small price.

Due to my bicycling regimen, most likely, I endured no side effects.
