Fair enough. Is the search for the new law firm and banning Guice any step forward or simply an attempt to whitewash the situation?

True. But what differentiates the two is that the Central Texas Institute of Sexual Assault will kick you out if you’re gay. LSU can’t do that, I don’t think. Consider Mulkey’s dilemma: If she knows a prospect is gay, she pretty much has to tell the kid, “Keep it quiet. Make sure nobody finds out.” No such restrictions at LSU.

If it's on Wikipeda, it must be true!

Haven't seen any mention of him but the alma mater (Central Michigan) has hired Tony Barbee, previously one of Calipari's assistants at UK and previously of Auburn and UTEP.

Chips have spent a long time in the wilderness. Last Big Dance was my freshman year (2003) with future NBA stalwart Chris Kaman. This will be the third coaching change since then after the Keno Davis era produced one regular season title, a roster full of college basketball drifters and absolutely no actual defense.

I covered Keno when he was at Providence College, and once he got fired from there, I don't think I thought of him for a single second until the news came out that CMU had fired him. He had similar issues at Providence - the ability to recruit a Big East level star or two, but no supporting cast - and in hindsight, he probably got lucky with his one year at Drake and struck when the iron was appropriately hot.

Hall of Fame coach Mulkey leaves Baylor for LSU

Good for Mulkey. Wonder if Ruston will ever recover from Barmore's departure, the botching of trying to get Mulkey - an alum - into the position, then the numerous fumblings in addition to the Tyler Summitt disaster.

If not Ruston, then Baton Rouge, I suppose. The financials should be interesting ... no way she stayed in Waco in 21 years and won three national titles without getting a nice raise or three.

Are there any jobs still open?

Unfortunately the two I wanted to open up this year - my alma mater, and the local team I grew up idolizing - didn't. Maybe next year.

Two things: Y’all called this Mulkey shit.

Two: You still down on Mooney, Micro?

Former LSU WBB coach was making about $900,000. Mukley was supposedly making about $2.2 million at Baylor. Financials should, indeed, be interesting.

LSU has the scratch ... the SECN money certainly doesn't hurt. Most of the conferences with their own networks – plus, of course, the little school in Austin – are awash in cash.

I hope Mulkey gets more than Will Wade. Would love to hear the latter moan and groan about it ... in between lies, of course ...
