I'm not against his HoF chances, esp since that's a lower bar. Kluber's got two Cy Youngs, is he a HoFer?

I did say he's on pace to make the HOF - not a sure thing right now since injuries can happen and he hasn't played for ten years.

Kluber is three years older than deGrom, and has a career 3.18 ERA -- and even though Kluber has been alright with the Yankees so far this season, he's not going to be dominant like he has been in the past. Right now, there is nothing slowing deGrom down.

deGrom HoF invites a Mattingly discussion, but I won't.

Padres got an inning out of reliever Aaron Northcraft, a 30-year-old rookie who made his big league debut. Braves draftee in 2009. Played for a dozen minor league teams, Az Fall League, Dominican and Venezuelan leagues. Blew out his elbow in 2016, his only season with Padres, who had acquired him in the Justin Upton trade. Missed 2017-18. Mariners picked him up in 2019. Released him. Signed by Marlins. Trumpandemic hits. Splits time between the re-education camp and IL last year. Marlins release. Padres reclaim. Promoted Friday.

Northcraft was lucky he hurt his elbow with Pods, what if he had to pay for his own rehab?

    Have doubleheaders every Sunday afternoon.

I think they'd be better on Saturday. All Sunday games should start at 1 p.m., giving the teams a chance to get out of town and to their next destination before midnight.

Yeah, the Sunday doubleheaders were a staple when people lived close enough to the park to go to church in the morning and then ride a trolley or walk to the stadium.

Saturday double-dips would be a really good idea.
