Democrats always play with one hand tied behind their backs. And it’s not as if Democrats are actually and objectively virtuous. Just in comparison.

 

It will be interesting to see where people are living 10 years from now as more companies realize many workers can work from anywhere, saving companies money on commercial space and not needing to pay as much so workers can afford to live where they work. In general though, the growth has been in urban areas and suburbs (blue/purple) and rural areas have lost population.

The new Census numbers look like a push to me. Even later this decade if Texas flips blue, that's only a +2 for the Dems (although that +40 in the end will make everything else moot).

In fact, Texas will represent a potential 80-vote swing: +40 the Dems get, and the -40 the GOP doesn't get. That's almost 30% of the way to 270.
