    Corbin Burnes has pitched 28+ innings this season without walking a batter.

    He just fell behind 3-0 to the Marlins' leadoff batter but struck him out on the next 3 pitches, just ate his guts.

    He’s at 49K with no walks, 2 short of Jansen’s record of 51K with no walks to start a season.

    Of course, the Brewers aren’t giving him run support and are losing 1-0.

    Update: ... and now is out of the game in the 6th after giving up 5 straight hits and 3 more runs (only had 1ER entering today). At 49K/0BB.

    Looks like they’re all playing for second because the (checks standings, squints) Kansas City Royals are running away from everyone.
