    Maybe not the most Canadian, but it has all the earmarks of a particularly Canadian type of song. Fifty Mission Cap follows the structure of shanties and fits into the later pop tradition of tragic story songs. The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald is probably the best known of this genre.

    Fifty Mission Cap was always a huge hit at Toronto shows, particularly at Air Canada Centre, when the spotlight would shine on the banner displaying Bill Barilko's picture and retired number as the band played the song.
