I watched NFL Network for the most part and just caught ESPN’s coverage of the Lions pick
Kiper’s analysis was it was a damn shame Sewell didn’t fall to 8 because he was such a great fit for the Panthers
At least they didn’t cut to commercial before the Lions pick like they usually do

So who are all these experts who had Mac Jones to the niners, and why are they experts?

He and Darnold must share an agent. There's no other explanation for this infatuation with him. Somewhere Jimmy Clausen is feeling forgotten.

Does anyone on the internet do a final mock scoresheet and compare a final mock with what actually happened?

    Why, yes.

    Awesome.

IIRC, Steve Schoenfeld had some crazy 17-pick run on his mock in the mid-90s. If anyone can access the AZ Republic archives, I want to say it was the 93 draft.

I love when guys add trades into their mocks. Thereby assuring they will have two picks wrong.

The lure of mock drafts is guys like me who love sports but couldn’t play any of them
I always wanted to be a GM as a kid

Would be fun to see mock drafts by the actual GMs. ... How they think the first round will play out, etc. ... Half would get their own picks wrong based on how things fell.

Wouldn't it make more sense if a writer would list all the NFL teams and say who they will get in the first round?

If writer knows the Steelers are targeting Harris, and the Steelers trade up for Harris, isn't that more impressive or equally impressive?

    Direct hit
    Right team, wrong number
    Right number, wrong team

Kiper is a jackass, and his act isn't nearly as interesting now that there are so many more sources of information about prospects going into the drafts than there were when he got started.
