Did anybody not know the Steelers wanted Harris? They really don't do a very good job of keeping these things quiet. After the first two picks, that was the worst-kept secret in this draft.

I interviewed him once and he got pissed when I called him out on ranking Chris Spielman as a fifth round pick

The more draftnickery becomes an industry, the worse he looks. Why ESPN keeps him on, other than him becoming a caricature of himself, is anyone's guess. He's never known much and now that's glaring.

He was an aggregator, pulling together information nobody else bothered to gather for fans. That had value in the '80s and '90s. Now, not so much.

The "fans" in the later part of the first round were hilarious. The Giants guys - one guy wearing an Eli jersey, another guy in a Daniel Jones jersey he probably bought after Jones' first game, before it hit the clearance rack - had a collective "WTF? Who TF is that guy?" reaction after the Giants made their pick. Happened with several other teams, too, because let's face it, after the QBs and WR and maybe a RB or two, who knows anything about most of the other players? I watch a lot of college football but I never even heard of the Bills' selection.

That was pretty good, though there were some mock drafters who fell for the narrative that Parsons was somehow dropping on people's boards. Sure, they were right in that I'm sure the Steelers would have taken him over Harris, but there was never a realistic chance he was going to fall that far.

If Parsons had dropped to 15, I think Belichick would've gone for him, which would've caused much organizational agita.

I wonder if the NFL didn’t supply the fans with gear.
