Yer bandying semantics. Naming is a powerful thing. What you may see as scrubbing, Page and Jenner see as a way to get people to recognize where they are in their lives. It doesn't mean they never existed before they became Eliot and Caitlin.

I love that movie so much. The barbershop guys were some of my favorite characters. Those conversations were so nuanced in a flick that's not always subtle in the points it makes. A lot of thought went into those scenes. (And it's part of what's missing from the sequel.)

 

That movie was incredibly well written. It's also got heart- hard to install into formulaic comedy.

 

I'd add the military or police wife to the Nut Job taxonomy.

 

Got to love that they emailed him to say that they don't accept FOIA requests by email.
