Did they really give Jaylen Samuels a serious chance at it?

Conner went to Pitt. That’s in the ACC, too.

I always liked Samuels. I just don’t think he was enough of a running threat. Something was keeping him on the bench.

Samuels is not as elusive a runner as LeVeon Bell, but is every bit as good a receiver and not a terrible blocker.

Not at all sure that the Steelers' inability to run has been all Conner. Impossible to know how much fighting and beating cancer affected his ability. He was a holy terror prior to the diagnosis in college ... just a serious jackhammer ...

    One in a thousand.

No. Just stop. Take off the ACC goggles.

Samuels is sure handed catching a swing pass. Bell lined up in the slot and effectively ran slants against everyone they lined over him.

And getting hit hard many times slowed down Conner. And he fumbled a lot.

And yet it happened. When was Montana drafted? Warner? Theissman? Starr? Hostetler? Rypien? Staubach? Brad Johnson? That group plus Brady represents a quarter of the Super Bowl-winning quarterbacks. Guys drafted in the third round or lower have 23 rings as starters. So obviously you can just find them anywhere. No need to ever draft one in the first round.

Steelers have six rings. Bradshaw and Ben. First rounders.

Bold talk from a man who when he was a QB had a poisonous relationship with his head coach and fellow Hall of Famer.

If Aaron Rodgers placed a call tomorrow saying he was retiring and wanted to be on the studio show, Fox would have Terry back on the bus to Possum Droppings, La., before nightfall.

Franco Harris was on the team with Bradshaw for all four. First-round pick. Just sayin'.

You pick who you think you need.
