Blue Jays to Buffalo on June 1. The stadium, already a treasure, is getting even more upgrades, thanks to the Blue Jays and MLB requirements. Toronto has been an outstanding parent club for the Bisons.

The best news: Fans 3 and older must present proof of full vaccination (received at least 14 days prior to the day of the game) or a negative Covid-19 test result (from a PCR test taken within 72 hours of the day of the game or a rapid antigen test taken within six hours of the game’s scheduled start time).

That's one good way to get those on the fence to get vaxxed. It would be great if airlines and MLB and the NFL universally adopted this policy.

Opening Day in Buffalo for Blue Jays will be June 1 vs. Marlins

Moddy wrote elsewhere he's going to a Yankees-Nats game and the Yankees have the same policy.

The Jays are getting closer - geographically anyway - to a return to Toronto!

I am skeptical of a return to Toronto this season but if the vaccine rollout continues picking up steam we might see them here in September. If the border opens fans from Ontario will flood Pilot Field for home games.

I always heard and read a lot about the amazingness of Hernandez, but last night I believe was the first time I saw it live. Worst ruling I've ever seen in an MLB game. It wound up playing no role in the inning or outcome, but Jesus, that was bad. And he gets nothing for basically inventing something? Whatever happened to you have to see an out to call an out? And the thing is, the out on the play that Hernandez actually saw, he over-ruled himself on.

Then tune in tonight. He's behind the plate and Shane Bieber is on the hill for Cleveland.

It's rather interesting ... Baltimore's John Means has faced the minimum, 21 hitters, through seven innings. No errors and no walks.

But it's not a perfect game, because the M's Sam Haggerty reached on a third-strike wild pitch in the third inning (he was promptly caught stealing on the very first pitch to the next hitter).

Still a couple innings to go, but that would be a rough way to lose a perfect game.
