They played in the NHL and I didn't, but I'm not really on board with that. Can Wilson respond to Buchnevich? Yes, but smashing his head into the ice with a stick across his neck is excessive. And every player in the league will jump into a scrum to help a teammate when a mountain like Wilson is going to work; part of the code is not ragdolling - and grabbing by the hair - a nonfighter like Panarin, who was just trying to hold him back and not punching him.

Respectfully disagree. The whole game is a bad look - though it is unlikely, the Caps CAN possibly win the Cup this year. Fuck looks. Get the hell out of New York with two Ws.
Actually, I guess I do agree! But I don't think this one thing stands out above many others in this fiasco.

The next Wilson incident will be worse. Count on it. How much worse? Apparently hockey doesn't give a shit.

Just a basic premise. Uh, win the game gives you the last word. Last night, the Rays used 4 outfielders when Mike Trout batted. Did it work? Not quite. He hit it over the fence. They could have used 7 outfielders, wouldn't have mattered.

If I’m the Rangers, that’s exactly what I do, too.

You can’t put a leash on this guy, half your team is going to eat knuckles for him. His teammates will get tired of fighting every fucking night.

John Scott appears to be rather cognizant of the fact that there are two networks looking for studio analysts this summer. Funny thing is he doesn't need the gig. Has an engineering degree.

Every cement head in the AHL just got offered a contract for next season.

Have you watched the game? They're not eating knuckles. When the Caps had more guys in the box than on the bench, they were in there laughing.
And then Buchnevich may have earned himself a fine or suspension later.
The Rangers have proven nothing tonight. As Ragu noted, they don't have any fighters and they're up against a team that has several.

I get the anger and all that but, well, this hasn't done a thing to address it.

Someone tweeted that their favorite guy Parros had something to say between the first and second, but I'm not sure that's true.

Apparently, until someone is seriously/permanently injured or dead, the NHL isn't going to do anything about it.

Bad look. I understand what Moddy is saying – he doesn't feel the brawls did anything to advance the issue – but the choice for the Rangers is to stand up for themselves since the league failed to do its job or try to pretend that it was business as usual.

Tom Wilson tries to make any attempt at business as usual as difficult as possible. Until he's disciplined and/or until the NHL's executives take action, that won't change. Wonder how well that will work when someone ends up permanently injured – or dead. Is that what it's going to take?

This “Wilson is going to kill someone” talk is a little much. Sorry. Not sorry. It’s ridiculous Twitter overreaction bullshit.
