    Couldn’t agree more.

The first period may have distracted a bit from the off-ice turmoil, but there were reports the “crowd” was chanting “J.D.” in the third. And I’m pretty sure that was not a reference to Dolan, who’s looking at a six-figure fine for yesterday’s statement.

Good for him, especially given the recent loss of his father.

Just a heads up, I think 93 devil took over your account for a couple hours. I’d change your password.

Just another night being a huge hypocrite when it comes to sports. I love fighting in hockey, I also think it should be banned.

I love football and sometimes think they have gone to far in protecting players, which is a ridiculous way to feel considering the damage done to their bodies.

It's possible to be a fan and acknowledge Wilson's psychotic behavior and the severity of it.

The Caps have ridden the big Russian for a long time, and we're all watching them age before our eyes. So good luck rooting for that 2, 3 years from now. Whether you agree with me about that or not, unfortunately for the other players on that team, their identity at this moment has been taken over by a gorilla on ice skates who head hunts and plays dirty and then preens in the penalty box like a child. TJ Oshie's night was overshadowded by that idiot. Have fun rooting for that. I honestly wouldn't want to. It would annoy me.

You seem to think I'd feel differently if he was playing for the Rangers. First, Moddy is wrong that I'd want him on my team -- unless he meant that the Rangers, not necessarily me as a fan, would want him. And I am not sure the organization would, but who knows? I personally wouldn't want that ass anywhere near my team. I think his whole act is a distraction and a liability in the big picture, and aside from that, as a fan, I don't want to be rooting for a guy I think plays the game dirty. I root for the Yankees in baseball. Every time Domingo German takes the mound, I turn to Ms. Ragu and say, "Oh joy, the woman beater is pitching." I honestly wish he wasn't on the team I root for, and it has nothing to do with how well he does or doesn't pitch. Last night, I watched the game thinking, "Really, a fourth line brawl where you have Colin Blackwell challenging Carl Hagelin?" I thought it was senseless and will acknowledge it even though it was my team. Not when the Caps have Dillon and Chara and Mantha, who no one the Rangers had suited up could fight. To the credit of a few guys on the Caps last night, they took a lot, particularly with Buchnevich using his stick dangerously. I am sure they took it as well as they did because they knew that Wilson is a disgrace and he brought it on them as a team. You are rooting for an embarrassment right now. It doesn't make you any less of a fan of the team itself if you acknowledge it without, "I am being an ass, because the criticism is making me defensive."

Upper body? I believe it. I’d say his injury is above the neck.

And then they will play a team that isn’t filled with Lady Bing awards.

And that team might line up and go before something Wilson does.

Trust me, get his teammates tired of fighting. That’s the next step.

If that doesn’t work? Someone will pass a hat in the locker room before the game to pay the fine of the guy that kneecaps him.

We can visit this once he does something horrible again. It will probably be in the next month.

So Kenny Albert and Eddie Olczyk to TNT.

Rumours that Ferraro will be lead analyst at ESPN. Ferrari

wouldn't be shocked to see JD return to broadcasting.

I used to hate Kenny Albert. His voice grates on me. But he is the hardest working man with a microphone. He'll go anywhere they ask, on any notice, to announce any game. I really respect his work ethic. Ms. Ragu was watching last night and pointed out that if you take Kenny Albert's "spitting into the microphone" style and add Pierre Mcguire's mumbling, and divide it by two, you might have one person speaking normally.

There was a long stretch without a whistle, and when there was finally a stoppage in play, the penalty box door opened and it looked like clowns piling out of a car.

Yep. And after that, they showed the Caps box emptying!
