    Time to arm NHL officials.

In other non-fight news, Oshie punched Morgan Barron. ... and then skated away when Barron dropped the gloves and tried to take the fight.

That one Stanley Cup is so adorable.

Rangers firing JD is monumental. The '79 run to the Cup finals is the reason I like hockey and played goalie for 25 years.

I'd send Bettman $500,000 and tell the New York Times that if the fine for protecting incompetent league officials is $250,000, the extra $250,000 is to tell Bettman he can go fuck himself, too.

If they suspend Wilson, which wouldn’t have taken much stretching, you avoid the shit show last night and the optics of Dolan calling out Parros and the league. It’s the smart business decision.

The NHL is still the weirdest league because in these situations they seem to do everything possible to protect Wilson.

    Thanks, Caps fans agree.
One is better than none, which is what they had for a while.

Look, I'm as against Tom Wilson's antics as much as anyone, here or anywhere. I've said it before. I'll say it again. I'd be fine if they moved on from him. I don't like what he does.

BUT, the way Wilson and the Caps make you gnash your teeth and post shit like this brings me great joy. That they're a good team - albeit with only one Cup - drives you up a wall. It is a beautiful thing.

    Carry on.

ah Pens fans. Pens might have the biggest homer media in the league.

I'm sure THAT won't cause an uproar or more gnashing of teeth

I will say this, not to argue your overall point, but when the Caps finally beat them in 2018 after years of frustration, I read several columns about the impact Wilson had in that series even though he was suspended for half of it. The Pens were furious for what he did (not without reason) but perhaps more furious they didn't have anyone like him, that they let it get to them. I was not around either team then so I can't speak to its validity but I found it interesting.
