    What about "companies paying $X are finding it impossible to stay staffed?" What's the logical solution to that?

    Because a lot of bad decisions can cause someone's head to be under water.

    The number of people who make correct choices AND work three jobs AND find their heads under water is pretty small.

    Of all the ways societally we have gotten dumber, it's this growing notion that if you repeat your intentions over and over again it's a reasonable rationale for whatever you are insisting on imposing on others.

    Putting aside the immorality of that. ... a lot of people actually seem to believe that intentions are the same things as outcomes.
