So you want to see that particular defense attorney get disbarred? Because that's what'll happen.

Then why would anyone quote or report what a defense attorney says? If they are ethically and legally required to not be honest, what’s the use of the quote?

He wants a reenactment of the Al Pacino scene in And Justice For All. Which...it’s one hell of a scene.

I think that it is more accurately stated as "They are legally and ethically required to be an advocate for the defense of their client".

since they are required to be an advocate, they will never be honest or forthcoming.
Publishing remarks without regard for the truth and without explaining that a defense attorney is a paid advocate who can never admit that their clients bares legal responsibility should be journalistically unethical. Printing a defense attorney’s quotes is akin to printing a Press Release from Exxon or BP following an environmental disaster.

No. But it would be akin to printing quotes from an Exxon or BP official. Which any decent journalist would do or any decent editor would demand.

an official yes. A press spokesperson? No.
And that’s how we got trump. Failure to label a liar as a liar from The start.

I'm kind of partial to this scene myself.

On what incident are you basing that statement?
