2021 NHL regular season thread

I would not recommend drinking anything while watching. I spewed Diet Coke when the video showed five Caps in the penalty box and one of the TV announcers said “Players association meeting in the penalty box.”

This whole thing was cringeworthy, but entertaining too.

The Capitals won in overtime today but lost the top seed in the East and possibly T.J. Oshie. With the Penguins winning earlier in the day, Washington had to win both of its final two games in regulation. Instead, the Caps clinched the No. 2 seed.

Wilson also left the game with an injury, but later returned.

As a Penguins fan, absolutely nothing about the Capitals makes me crazy. In my experience, that rivalry means a hell of a lot more to Washington fans. That's how it goes when the history between two teams is so lopsided, even when the team usually on the bad end of things finally wins one. This season, the Caps were just the team the Penguins had to beat out for the top seed. Maybe they will meet again down the line.

 

McDavid has about 25 minutes to get his 100th point of the season. Has 3 on the night so far.

I'm not sure your comment is accurate regarding all Pittsburgh media, but it absolutely applies to Rossi.

I haven't seen enough of Yohe's stuff to say. I know Rossi, so I have to agree with you about him.
