Where is Evander Kane when you need him?

Parros is a home office guy? I need to start paying attention again.

You're absolutely correct about the rivalry. Caps fans especially care more about it, simply for reasons like Penguins fans gathering on the Portrait Gallery steps and taunting Caps fans after big wins in D.C. Anyway, to me, winning the division was nice but it gets you no advantage in this weird postseason, save for the nominal edge of Game 7 home ice. No series -- Bruins, Pens, Isles -- was going to be easy. Could stand to have a little break after Tuesday before the playoffs start to get everyone healthy. The Caps are going nowhere if Carlson or Ovechkin aren't around for the postseason. Oshie is a huge piece, but those other guys are completely irreplaceable, no matter how pleasant of a surprise Sprong and Sheary have been.

I know he didn't do much last year, but I don't even see Sheary as a surprise. His production this season is in line with seasons he had with the Penguins. He was a solid player in Pittsburgh, too. I agree that health is a huge part of the equation for the Capitals.

I agree that the division title doesn't really mean that much. I was just encouraged to see the Penguins get there after scuffling at times early in the season.

At least one Preds game in person every season since the beginning. Thought for sure that was a goner this time. But made it to immunity with three days to spare, and for Pekka’s (likely) last ride at that.

Lightning line of Matthieu Joseph, Daniel Walcott and Gemel Smith is the first all-black line in NHL history

In 25 years of beer league hockey, I played with more women (2) than African-American men (1).
