She was great in Outward and almost stole the show in Lamb.

Leoni is underrated. Spanglish hit that sweet spot between comedy and drama. Sandler was really great in that one.

He also changes shirts. I think the closing credits were supposed to serve as a curtain call.

Wasn't the joke that Goldblum's character was a brilliant scientist but clueless about cowboy culture?

FWIW, I bought the movie when it came out on DVD. The "extras" treated the whole thing like it was based on a true story, which was dumb. The only time I've seen that done well was the commentary track for Tropic Thunder. I still have a degree of affection for Buckaroo Banzai. It's stupid fun.

I remember very little about the actual plot. I don't think I've seen it since I was 12, but it stuck with me just for the weird fun.

The curtain call thing does make sense.

Will Cera suffer the same fate as Austin Pendleton? He played callow youths long after he should have started playing grownups.

Like Jon Cryer before him, I think Michael Cera will be fine.

Shelley Morrison (RIP) was the maid to spoiled socialites. I did love her turn in Will & Grace, where they took what could have just been a background character and made her a foil for Karen Walker who gave as good as she got.

A leading man - as Reynolds has become, typically just plays the "same person" in every freaking role, whether its Tom Cruise, Clooney, The Rock, Burt Reynolds, Arnold, Stallone, Bruce Willis, Denzel, and while differently gendered obviously, I'd throw Reese Witherspoon and Meryl Streep. Not sure they qualify as leads but I'll throw in Adam Driver and Paul Giamatti.

You think Meryl Streep plays the same person in every role?
