Mike Trout was hitting around .450 with power when Albert Pujols was benched, then later released. He was shown crying when he received the news. Since then, his batting average is down to .345. He has struck out a lot, looking a lot. I can remember one ball he has hit hard, which was caught near the fence in Houston earlier this week.

I'm a big fan of the UniWatch blog, which tracks all things uniforms, and they view purple as similarly verboten.

I'm a Tigers fan, so I'm pretty much in a community of uniform fundamentalists. The home jersey hasn't fundamentally changed since 1961, and there is a significant segment of the fan base that is complaining that they FIXED the Old English D in 2015 after the D on the jersey and the D on the cap didn't match for 50 years. Even the road jersey has basically been the same since the mid-to-late 1990s. I wouldn't mind a third, and I think the roads should go back to the 1968-style DETROIT across the front, but the Tigers don't exactly spark a lot of great ideas, either.

The thing about the Rockies is that theirs is almost the exact same branding as they had when they joined MLB in 1993. Consequently, the Marlins, Rays and Diamondbacks have all gone through three distinct brands in 28 (Marlins)/23 (Rays and D-Backs) years. The Rockies are like the baseball equivalent of that locally-run greasy spoon diner that isn't that famous, expensive or, for that matter, good.

Oh, and I just heard on a broadcast there are camo jerseys coming tomorrow.

The Vancouver Canucks have had multiple full colour overhauls. After a while anything old and ugly develops retro appeal.

Hell, the NBA courts are disasters. Miami’s is an abomination

Logos used in the 1970s were perfect. Any alteration since is just fucking them up.

NBA uniforms have never been good. In fact, they are awful, but college basketball uniforms are great.

Lakers logo has stood the test of decades. Same banner design for their titles. Adding 17 stars at midcourt the past years is tremendous. Add in Lawrence Tanter. Nothing better.

Marlins black uniform tops with a teal script "Marlins" across the front are the worst.

The NBA? A special YGBFKM Award to the Warriors, who for the nearly 50 years they played at the Oakland Coliseum Arena used the word "Oakland" ontheir uniforms. Closest they came was using "The Town." But move across the Bay to the Chase Center, and all of a sudden, thanks to the NBA's marketing geniuses, they have an "Oakland" uniform.

Kelenic with a two-run homer and a double tonight for the M's.

I hope I don't waste my summer praying in vain for a savior to rise from Elliott Bay.

    Kelenic 4 2 3 3.

Finally a reason to watch the Ms!

    The 6-9 guys in tonight's lineup are "hitting" .167, .154, .193 and .205.

Why so early with the camo? It's not nearly Memorial Day. Just stop MLB can make a buck?

No reason not to play Kelenic ... or pitch Logan Gilbert.

Just coincidentally, they were called up after the deadline for "full year of MLB service" ...
