Original account: “Oh, your family member died in the crash after that high speed chase.”

Later:”Oh yeah... he died on the way to the hospital after a struggle with our officers.”

Two years later, when forced to give up body cam footage that shows the victim being repeatedly tased, put in a chokehold, dragged on his face and left in a position that made it hard to breathe: “Uhh...”

Two former U.S. Attorneys speaking out about the cop in Huntsville. Both threads are worth a look. The Huntsville Mayor and Police Chief are stretching the rules to let him draw his comp time as well. Their rationale is that "the jury got it wrong" when he was convicted.

If you don't know the case, there was a call about a suicidal man. Two officers were on the scene trying to talk him down as he sat with a gun to his own head. The third officer got there, went in and inside of thirty seconds demanded that he throw down the gun and shot him in the face when he didn't on the grounds that he was endangering the other officers.
