Biden’s team is getting frustrated by his stubborn refusal to do exactly what they want on exactly the timeline they want, so they went to the NYT and complained about his temper. We’ll see if their attempt to shame him works.

Biden is the first Dem President who has had a national profile of more than 10 years before taking office since LBJ, first one elected since FDR. Much like Trump, the image had "set" making it impossible for the other side to try and tell people "who the President "really" was."

I should note that JFK was pretty well known by the early '50s, but it was as a war hero, wealthy son of his dad - hadn't done much politically.

 

Biden demands hours of debate from scores of experts, the subhead says. Have we already forgotten that the previous president would tweet or say shit off the top of his head in public like, "Space Force!" and send his entire administration scrambling to try and create policy that didn't exist and probably never even discussed or debated.

 

I have zero issues with Biden’s approach.

People inside his WH do. They just want to be right, and for him to get it, and do what they’d like, as quickly as possible.

I’ll be curious if the mask rec switch was actually at the end of a long process that seemed short to us but it was at the end of a deliberation by Biden.
