I have a kid. For 2-3 years it was a regular occurrence. I never once rolled on the floor flailing and holding my head like I got cattle prodded. And if you think LeBron is not a preening faker, you haven't been paying attention. Maybe last night was legit, though probably not worthy of the performance he turned in, but his reputation is well deserved.

So you think he doesn't lay it on a little thick more often than not? I think LeBron is probably the greatest player ever. That doesn't mean he isn't an all-world ham. He tried to flail his way to a flagrant foul last night. When he didn't get it -- it's a miracle! -- he hopped up and was perfectly fine.

I'm sure this one didn't hurt, either.

His eye was half-shut and watery during the post-game interviews.

He got slapped in the eye full-force by a professional athlete and you think it didn't hurt because your toddler used to accidentally poke you in the eye and it didn't hurt that much?

He asked me if I've ever been poked in the eye. I answered. You chose to take that ball and run with it.

In this case he most certainly did not "get slapped." Greene had good defensive position and his hands were straight up and extended, much like you're coached to have them. If he "slapped" him, it would have been ruled flagrant. But all the TV guys, and the game official, saw it as a regular foul. Because it was.

I watched almost every game of Lebron's 11 years in Cleveland. Him trying to milk a little contact into a mugging was nearly a nightly occurrence . So when he goes down in a heap, rolling around like he just got a sledgehammer to the beanbag, I'm always going to think he's exaggerating at least a little. More often than not he is. Maybe not this time, but his reputation preceded him by years and years.

    That's not last night's game.

Green doesn't suck. But he is a cheap-ass goon.

I know. That's why I said "I'm sure that one didn't hurt, either". I may not be the smartest guy in the room, but I do know LeBron doesn't play for the Cavs anymore. ;).
