Haven't watched the second season yet but they did a third for Prime, which is how I heard about it (tweet from that account). Anyway, hopefully it maintains because I really enjoyed Season 1.

Catching up on Snowfall - a good show (think of it as Boyz in the Hood - expanded version) but there was a scene in a hospital where a nurse was shown wearing "the cap" - some time in the '80s nurses went from white unis and the cap to scrubs (first noticed it in ER) anyway...

Why don't nurses wear caps anymore? - Quora.

The other thing about the show - damn, I have no idea how they found so many old Chrysler K cars.

So there is a Friends reunion - have to think of the six, Phoebe would have been "discovered" by the New Yorker/NPR and become a big deal for about 18 months with her songs "rooted in real life." Chandler and Monica would have broken up due to Chandler's family issues that have ping ponged him back and forth between therapy and substance abuse, Monica would have opened up a new restaurant that won raves before being slammed for cultural appropriation menu choices and descriptions, Ross would have been "MeTooed" as a college professor and teaching on-line at University of Phoenix (this would have been pre-Covid and the terms of his employment - no in-person interaction with students). Rachel would have been "the other woman" in at least three high-profile NY divorces and be the proud owner of a Derek Jeter gift bag and you know Joey would be a MAGA congressman from New Jersey. "Hey, I'm just playing a role," he offers as an excuse.

The Matt LeBlanc, Stephen Mangan & Tamsin Greig series from 2011? It's OK. It's been 4 years since I watched it. The first two seasons were pretty good but then it seemed to drag on for the final three.

A better series to watch is the 2005 Rickey Gervais series "Extras".

Yeah — they strung it along until the last second and dropped it.

Oh man, that snuck under the radar for me, too. I know it was kind of a waste of Goggins talent, but he and the rest of the ensemble seemed to be having fun, and it was just a light, 22 minutes every week.

We've been watching Home Economics - it got picked up for a second season, but the first was only like seven or eight episodes. Similarly kind of breezy show, with some noticeable cast members - Colin Hanks, Sasheer Zamata. Karla Souza, Hanks' wife on the show, is delightful.

The biggest problem with The Unicorn is that the Goggins character was such a nice guy that he was only going to date similarly nice people, especially as the central premise of the show was him reentering the dating world after the death of his saintly wife. So you had to contrive a way for him not to end up with the girl. They played the it was too soon for a widower card, the she’s going abroad on a humanitarian mission card and the she’s moving so that her son could be closer to his father card. He’s also such a good actor that he had great chemistry with all of his romantic partners.

I actually liked that they were hinting that the latest girlfriend may have a drinking problem, but they got away from that quick. Agree that it was a pleasant, mostly turn your brain off 30 minutes with a good cast, especially the Courdrry/Watkins couple (although she drank every night for a pediatrician who must have been on call sometimes)

Meh. The main character in the unicorn was completely unappealing.
