When will they get it right? Columbus was merely an agent of Christianity. Everything done to get to the Western Hemisphere was done in the name of Jesus Christ, including genocide, mass rape and chattel slavery. Until Christians acknowledge their guilt and responsibility there is no correct history. Blaming it all on Europeans is another Big Lie. No one in the 15th century thought of themselves as European. They thought of themselves by their kingdom, Spain, Portugal, England ... or collectively as Christiandom. Columbus was squarely within the Spanish attempts to finally defeat the Moors and and torture, expel or convert the Jews and Muslims. Slavery wasn’t white v black, or European v African. It was Christian v everyone else. And it’s been so thoroughly washed and scrubbed from history that the descendants of African slaves have accepted and worship as their enslavers want led them to. African Americans by accepting Jesus Christ as their lord and savior worship the root cause of their enslavement and discrimination.
