To paraphrase Dan Jenkins on Arnie, Phil absolutely loves being Phil Mickelson.

When he’s playing money games on a Tuesday against all the 30 year old guys, there is no place he’d rather be. It’s a life well lived.

As a fan, greatest major in the last 20 years. Better than Nicklaus' at the 1986 Masters. Tougher course, four years older.

If winning six majors makes you a mediocre white guy, sign me up.

Phil being the oldest majors champ will keep Tiger motivated to continue golfing seriously for another 15 years. (sportstalktake)

Last guy to win a major with six bogeys on Sunday? I’ve got no guesses.

Jack in '86 will always be better, and I generally like Phil Mickelson.

Nicklaus' win was out of nowhere. He really wasn't lingering around the top of the leaderboard the whole weekend. On top of that, Seve ran his mouth, implying that it was "my Masters" and the crowd – er, patrons – at Augusta was roaring (of course, could have done without wildly cheering Seve splashing his approach at 15).

Top five of the last 40 years ... in some order:
    Tiger's last Masters
    Tiger's first Masters
Tiger's U.S. Open at Pebble where he steamrolled the field by 15.
Jack's sixth Green Jacket in '86
Phil at the PGA in '21

I'd put Phil winning the Open Championship at Muirfield, the one title NOBODY thought he'd ever win, up there too.

I've never been all that partial to Phil, but that 66 he laid on Muirfield was one helluva show.

I’d wager Phil is the only guy to go 16 years between victories in one major
He’s tied with Trevino and Faldo at 6
    Pretty good company

Is Phil the only golfer who plays weak-handed?

I'm not talking golf grip, either.

Lee was 10 years between Wanamakers, and he seemed ancient on the second one.

Outside of Tiger and Jack, most guys seem to win their majors in about an 8 year window. I don’t think Watson or Arnie won one after turning 35. Golfers have a long career but the prime window can close relatively early.

    Weir is a righty.

Based on numbers, lots of right golfers have to be left hand dominant in normal life.

In Canada, we run about 20 per cent lefty. I swear most of us grew up playing hockey where lefty is common and it just seems natural. And we all seem to struggle with the hook.

One year or hockey my daughter had all but one left handed shots.

I’m a big Phil fan and that was a great day in my golfing life.

I player in a scratch event at Ballyneal. Stuffed it tight on 18 and drained the putt to win my match and finish solo 23/second last.

We were watching on tape delay, so I managed about 8 Banquets in the bar waiting for the actual scratch players to come in. With those two triumphs, Phil’s win was destiny.
