People have been writing the GOP’s obituary for more than a decade. So your whole premise is useless.

 

It's a very bad thing when one party in a two-party system is openly rejecting democracy and is very unhappy with the Bill of Rights. It ain't a crisis yet, but the crisis is coming.

 

I just want to make sure I got this right: American democracy needs a party that is, of course, wrong about everything (in Krugman’s view) but is wrong about it in a way that...is pleasing to people like Paul Krugman? Or, otherwise, democracy will perish from the earth?

 

That’s not even a good strawman.

 

I like the ads that the military has been doing now, showing the kids doing some sort of military activity as the parents are with them and questioning why they're doing it, and then at the end, the ad shows the kid and the parent at home talking about the decision.

 

Only Republicans have the courage to stand up to the Marxist mobs.

 

How does democracy work if the losers of elections reject the results on nothing more than, "we lost, so the election is invalid"?

 

Like I'm going to accept Russell Brand's opinion as authoritative in some way?
