If the SPC ever gets prosecuted and sentenced, how many GOP will try to claim that they were just going along vs. the number who knew what they were doing, who know they were risking their political and personal futures on this?

And yes ... it's difficult to comprehend how ignorant Cawthorn is, and there's zero doubt that he's too ignorant to realize he's being used.

It took less than a year from the time that Adolf Hitler became Chancellor of Germany for the country to be completely and radically changed. He was elected Chancellor at the end of Jan. 1933. Reichtag Fire, end of Feb '33. Dachau Camp established in March of '33. Three different sets of nationwide anti-Jewish laws in April. Book burnings in May. Forced sterilization of "defectives" in July. Laws forbidding non-Aryans in journalism, October. A law against "dangerous habitual criminals" allowing indefinite imprisonment, November '33.

If the R's are unscrupulous enough to steal a Supreme Court seat, assist the Russians in subverting a Presidential election, to go to court 60+ times in an attempt to overturn a legitimate election, to continue to spread the Big Lie, to pass laws intended to disqualify Democratic voters, why in hell shouldn't we be concerned that they might kill the U.S. democratic system of government in favor of one where they are permanently in power?
