That'll only last until the vaccine meets standard approval by the FDA. Once it does, there will be orders from higher and they get vaxxed.

I get the need for media criticism and accountability.
There also seems to be a sick, sad piece to this where people wake up every day to sift through stories for something to attack. You know what they're not doing while they're searching for that offending sentence or story out the 100s published each day? Their own reporting and writing. It's a parasitic existence with self-fulfilling ends. If your job is to find something to get offended about, you will find it.

Ha, I don't find that so confusing - Oliver tends to be pretty thorough in his broadcasts, to the point that sometimes they play more like Frontline / PBS pieces, with some laugh lines thrown in. Oliver will also do shows on subjects that pretty much no one else has any interest in, like the lack of public defenders in certain states, or the long-term elder care crisis.

Lots of children under 11 who may get approved for those doses, and if they find that we need booster shots some time after being vaccinated, we might want those doses.

This is a balancing act and I am not sure how you make those decisions. On the one hand, you want to make moral decisions. And you don't want the virus running rampant in other places, because that hurts the U.S. too. On the other hand, you want to be sure that America isn't going to have need for those doses and regret having given them away.

I think it's more about some impression that I'm an arch conservative - which I am not, and have never been, or have ever been close to being - and thus, it is surprising I would like John Oliver, which I do.

(Stewart was fine, but Tom Junod's story - everything it is about - summarizes my thoughts on Stewart.)

Granddaughter, 13 in June, got her shot. Pfizer is the only one approved for kids. So far only a sore arm.
