Vlad Jr. is probably the current MVP in the AL right now.

There is NO "the BART." It's BART, like the sheriff in Blazing Saddles, only not nearly as sauve -- although there is a Rockridge involved as well.

Keep your Southern California "the (name of vehicular passageway)" from spreading northward. That's hella stupid, which is Northern California's contribution to the downfall of colloquial English.

    And I'll defer on "y'all."

Bellinger won NL Rookie of the Year in 2017, then MVP in 2019. He did have a rough 2020, as did many outstanding players, but cratered is a bit much. He hasn't really played in 2021 after suffering a hairline fracture to his leg on a freak play.

Bichette is a damn good player, but to this point, I'd take Bellinger's resume.

Yes so far, but he needs to come back strong, or risk being the Walt Dropo of the 2020s.

Possibly, but so far he didn't crater and he had more than one great season.

The Yankee fans aside, I miss the days when fans could bring large signs on sheets to games. I think only "approved" signs are the rule now - signs aligned with a player's "fan club" etc. MNF used to do a round-up of the best ones - which often lampooned Cosell.

    Speaking of signs.

In a 7 inning game, does a starting pitcher still have to complete 5 innings to be credited with a win?
