I used to wonder how something like the Dark Ages could happen. How could civilization run backward and have centuries of accumulated knowledge disappear?

I haven’t wondered that the last five years.

 

So, Biden gets the report in 90 days. Then what? Send China a bill? No, that's what Trump would have done.

Seriously, what is the next step?

 

I realized how possible it was once everything on the internet started disappearing five years after it was published. I assumed the digital world meant nothing would be forgotten or altered. Now I see a world in 20 years where the past could be rewritten, changed, forgotten.

We’ll have cameras recording our every move but no way to pass along institutional knowledge without deep digging. It will be buried in useless information and disinformation.
