Mize appears to be figuring it out, but ever since the 2018 draft, I've been looking at Joey Bart as a potential cornerstone franchise player and wondering if the Tigers didn't blow that pick.

Time will tell. But having the next Bill Freehan or Lance Parrish would feel a whole lot better to me than Dave Rozema.

The guy they got with the first pick in the second round last year, the wonderfully named Dillon Dingler, looks like he will be the catcher of the future, at least for now
Right now the Tigers have four guys who could play on a good team — Mize, Turnbull, Boyd and Candelario
Boyd probably gets traded at the deadline but the asking price won’t be what it was a couple of years ago

Through six innings, Tampa Bay leads the Phillies 3-2. So far, so normal. There have been 49 plate appearances in the game. Twenty five of them have been strikeouts. This is unsustainable. People are gonna pay good money to watch games of catch for only so long.

Fulmer has had a good month in the closer role but still only a year and a half past TJ surgery, his market value is probably zilch. If he finishes the season strong with no recurrence of arm problems, he'd probably have value in the offseason (although his contract is up at the end of the season and he's arbitration eligible).

I've been on the fence on it, but I've swung around: Move the mound back two feet.

That’s horrible baseball. That’s LL minors ball, make some contact and make them make a play. 9-10 yr old ball.

Kyle Funkhouser still pitched a scoreless inning and added another today
He was a big name in Louisville who was drafted in the first round by the Dodgers but went back to school
I’ve been watching him for a long time
Now that he’s a reliever this needs to be his theme song

Brad Lidge just kicked his dog and he doesn't know why.

The details are horrifying. And according to the police report, they witnessed it. He's on the IL for the next 5-6 weeks anyway, but I surmise he has played his last game for a long time.

This is going to break badly for Ozuna.

Unless she doesn't press charges for whatever reasons.
