Is it a spoiler if we share theories ahead of the finale?

Well, I doubt I will watch anything better than that this year.

Just a fucking tour de force of acting from everyone involved, especially Winslet and Nicholson. Bravo.

Watched the first 3 episodes last night. Slow start, then got hooked. Realize I never want to live in a shitty little town like that.

Sidebar: I know a guy who was a cop in a shitty little town in Illinois. He was uncomfortable going out to dinner. He always had to get a table in the back, and sit facing the front door. Why? He said he knew everybody in town and had arrested most of them previously. Doesn't know who is looking to retaliate.

I read somewhere today that Winslet hand picked her for the role because they are friends in real life and knew that would add an added level to certain scenes.

That scene in the kitchen at the end, when they don't say a word and Lori just melts into Mare sobbing, I mean, that's as good as it gets. Damn dust storm formed in my living room.

Having a kid being raised by a family whose son killed his mother doesn't seem like the best idea in the world.

Unless, of course, you're intent on creating your own sort of Greek tragedy.

Pretty sure this was the favorite all along:

Now consider that as you watch the brief interaction between those two characters in the finale. :)
