    The album this song is on was in a lot of albums I bought at auction.

    Shitty design on the front cover and the picture on the back is weird.

    That's all I got.

    Bill Danoff of Starland Vocal Band wrote "Take Me Home, Country Roads" for John Denver. That's all I got.

    This weeks Parade Magazine in the Sunday paper (yeah I still get the papers on the driveway) said the lyrics were originally about Maryland but changed to West Virginia for the rhymes.

    Massachusetts, according to Wiki. Danoff is from there:

    Danoff has stated he had never been in West Virginia before co-writing the song, having written it in a house in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. He had even briefly considered using "Massachusetts" rather than "West Virginia," as both four-syllable state names would have fit the song's meter.
