The Knicks should fly a regular season banner in the Garden to celebrate.

    - Knick fan here who has been embarrassed of the team almost all of my adult life. I am grateful for a season of likable players who had a wonderful season. The end was disappointing but not surprising. The future is bright and I can finally sense the stench of Isaiah on the organization is fading.
    - The lakers and Clippers losing would be the best thing for the long term health of the league. The current thinking for the super teams is rest up during the regular season because one home game doesn't mean much. This might make them change that. If you're a low seed, you need to play a great team early on, who you can beat at your best, but leaves you no margin for error. The only thing better would be Philly beating Brooklyn in 7 with each team winning only at home.

One reason the super teams rest stars so much is that it's often involuntary. Their top players are older and thus more prone to be injured. And some of them, like AD, seem to be perpetually injured. All three of the Nets' guys had significant downtime due to injury this season.

This is a really great point.

Kyrie Irving skipped the games because of an undisclosed family matter. Kyrie Irving also missed another bunch of games because, well, we don't know why.

Edit - The Clippers were tanking worse than the tanking teams the last week of the season. Everyone of consequence sat. Its a bad look.

I think there is nothing wrong on theory with teams letting their players rest during the regular season, especially this year with the short offseason and the compressed schedules. The problem becomes that the fans feel ripped off and it devalues an otherwise already devalued regular season.

    The biggest lies in sports:
    1. It’s about the fans
    2. It’s about the kids
3a. We take domestic violence very seriously
3b.The integrity of the regular season is important

    Exactly.

Its all about the $$ and no professional league has ever showed me anything different in 50+ yrs.

If it was about your categories:

    1. Discounts for: strikes/work stoppages
    2. Discounts for kids tickets (only ones I've ever seen are nosebleed seats on LL days)
    3. Voiding contracts for domestic violence perps
    4. No "load management" absences OR discounts when the player(s) you came to see sit.

Kinda figured after Dame dropped the double-nickel and they lost, that would be it for the Blazers.

I think the Suns win tonight.
