He’s LeBron Fucking James. The great player of all time. The most intense and competitive player of all time. He’s The Chosen One. He’s The King. He’s a Mogul and rich and wealthy. He’s the most intelligent person in every room he’s in. Brilliant, politically aware and socially locked in to being on point with every trend.
No one is worthy of criticizing him. You are not as good as he, so you can not judge him. It’s like telling Christ himself he’s made a mistake.
    LeBron Is. and you aren’t.

its LeBron’s game and his league. He tells you, you don’t tell him. Even his agent and friends are above human reproach

8:51 am is awfully early to be drunk, but you do you.

It’s never too early to reproach someone for criticizing God.

    To paraphrase Dave Dombrowski
“YOU try a write a one column four deck hed with Kentavious Caldwell-Pope in it.”

What’s remarkable is how so many NBA observers - including Paschke today - are just now discovering LeBron is old and only getting older.

With the bubble-asterisks championship exception, he’s Pujols 2.0 since the moment he walked into Staples Center.

It’s amazing the transformation of the Lakers
When I was a kid, the Lakers had Jerry West and Elgin Baylor
I always rooted for the Lakers to beat the Celtics, even more so when they got Wilt
Then, being a Michigan State guy, when they got Magic ...
I remember the story during the NBA Finals where people in Roxbury were rooting for the Lakers to beat the Celtics
I first noticed people really hating the Lakers when I went to dinner at a local sports bar and the Lakers-Kings series was on and people were rooting for the Kings like crazy
Ever since, the Lakers have seemed to wear the black hat

With the notable exception of the bubble-aided Championship* LeBron and Pujols have won the exact same number of playoff series in California.

That’s quite the exception and also ignores how they actually performed when playing.

I mean writing a one-column, four-deck hed is one thing. Marc Jackson was being that guy who drops a guy’s nickname incessantly to remind you he knows him.
