Rewatching Thor and the Avengers movies over the weekend in preparation for Loki. Anyone else going to be watching?

I just watched the end of Thor. I will be watching Loki, though perhaps not until Thursday or Friday when my daughter and I can watch it together. I'm not a fan of these Wednesday episode drops.

Speaking of Letterman, just about every appearance Teri Garr made on that show is on YouTube. What a charming, funny, quirky, beautiful woman.

It took me a minute to recognize Dave Foley when he did a guest appearance on Superstore. I have all five seasons of the original series and wonder if this is going to be good or if it will be like the caboose episodes of Red Dwarf. During Seasons Nine and Ten, everyone seemed to be too old to engage in the usual stuff Red Dwarf characters were known for. It made me understand why both Rowan Atkinson and Jeremy Clarkson have commented on the idea that at some point, seeing old men doing the same things they did as young men becomes a bit sad to watch.

Oh goodness, that trailer for Lucifer... I need to catch up. It's one of those shows I never quite caught when it was on regular broadcast TV. Loved the source material and am a big fan of Miranda, so looking forward to this.

Did anyone else see Laraine Newman on the "Real Wives" spoof on SNL? She's gorgeous now. Her daughter got all the good genes from her parents.

Changed phone plans and found out I now have Netflix. Kim's Convenience looks like fun. It hits on some of the same things a lot of first gen natives go through. The same person who recced Fresh Off the Boat to me raved about this one. I couldn't warm up to FOtB. It seemed so try-hard. Kim's Convenience is less...candied? I like it. Also saw two episodes of Sweet Tooth. In some ways, it reminds me of the movie treatment of Where the Wild Things Are. After The Handmaid's Tale, I thought I was done with dystopias, but I'll give it a couple more episodes.

How far behind are you on Lucifer? It really is weird, but fun.

I watched random episodes of the first and second seasons, so I really need to go back to the beginning. The comic book is darker and more about the secret lives of demons and devils. Seeing it reimagined as a police procedural was fun and an actual relief. The print version was a tad hamhanded.

I've never read the source material and I hadn't watched the show until I gave it a shot on Netflix early last year. I binged the first four seasons fairly quickly, then watched each half of season five once they came out. They mix in the occasional touching moment with a lot of stupid fun.

Checked the year end TV ratings - NFL football (the top two spots SNF and TNF) was twice as highly rated in the demo(4.7, 3.9) as the no. 7 (and first non-NFL relatedprogram (Masked Singer 2.0), top scripted show was This is Us (2,0).
