The conference finals are being reseeded this year
If current form holds that means Montreal-Colorado and Tampa Bay-Boston/NYI

 

I believe those will be the series regardless of who wins each series. Avs and Vegas were 1-2 and whoever wins the North will be the lowest seed going through, guaranteed.

Was wondering how rare it was for a team to sweep someone in the playoffs and immediately get swept in the next series (a la Winnipeg this year). Forgot it happened twice in 2019, which incidentally feels like it was about 25 years ago. Islanders swept Pittsburgh, then Carolina swept the Islanders, then Boston swept Carolina.

 

The 1992 Hawks went into the Final on an 11-game win streak and then got swept by the Penguins (who I believe were going in on an eight-gamer of their own).
