Is anyone else watching Cruel Summer on Freeform? It's about a kidnaped teenage girl and another girl who seemingly stepped in to take over her life who is then accused of not helping her escape. It tells the story by going back to specific days in 1993, 94 and 95. The time jumps were a bit confusing at first but I'm really liking it. The 10th and final episode airs Tuesday.

Wife has been watching it. She’s really enjoyed it. I’ve caught bits, and what I’ve picked up is it is interesting and a really dark story.

 

When you have to pay a long-time host somewhere between $25m - $50m to keep his trap shut about some of the dirty dealings behind the scenes - maybe you should just axe the show. But then again, it's ABC's highest rated program.

Agreed. I'm not into teenager drama bullshit, but the story is interesting.

 

Sweet Tooth
Obviously written and created during the pandemic, but very different.

Unsure how much I like it.

 

Sweet Tooth is based on a comic series that ran from 2009-2013, though it did come back last November.
