Some of Apple TV's shows are in their second seasons.

Home Before Dark's S2E1 continued where it left off, strongly, with Brooklynn Prince sniffing her way into another adventure in journalism.

Trying, about a 30-something British couple trying to adopt after being unable to have their own kids, is the show that I think more and more folks are going to start talking about. They've hit their stride. Esther Smith might win the Golden Globe for lead actress. Would be shocked if she wasn't nominated.

I've been randomly watching The Morning Show on Apple+. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it.

It's OK some moments, not so OK others. Not sure Carell was the right guy for his part. I think Aniston was. Witherspoon is good.

Enjoy the year. Lots of good shows. The ones I've glommed onto are Home Before Dark, Trying, Morning Show, and Tehran.

Run, don't walk, and start Ted Lasso immediately. Season 2 premieres in July but it'll take you about 3 days to finish season 1.

There was a line in a new episode of Trying that I think is one of the best lines I've ever heard.

The couple is just told by their adoption agency case worker that the boy they were 99% sure they'd be getting was instead placed into another home.

They were devastated. The case worker tried to soothe them best she could:

"This is not the last chopper out of Saigon"

Something so perfect about that line for that kind of a moment.

"The Kominsky Method" of Netflix. Michael Douglas and Alan Arkin are solid gold. And so many guest appearances by other familiar actors - Danny DiVito, Ann Margaret, Paul Reiser, the guy from JAG, Jane Seymour, Lisa Edelson, Kathleen Turner, etc.

Catching up on Mayans via Hulu. Kurt Sutter isn't running the show anymore, co-creator Elgin James (interesting backstory) is and he's added a bit of needed humor to the show. Line of the year? "Who the fuck is Jax Teller? (Answer) "Who gives a fuck?"

Looking for a new show and was intrigued by Physical on Apple TV.

First 3 episodes are outstanding, especially the character development. There's a great underlying intensity about it.

I get the lead character all too well, her obsessive and compulsive ways, her inability to control impulses that hump your soul at a moment's notice, her absolute self-loathing of people (herself included) and the human condition. She is me, and I am her. I've never seen the actress who plays Sheela -- Rose Byrne -- but she is nailing it.

didn’t like the line (who gives a fuck? Us, the half million or so addicts still watching this crap) or the season. Too many looses ends and abandoned story lines
